What people are saying about life's a feast's
cooking classes:
"Thank you for a fabulous day, we both enjoyed everything & haven't stopped talking about our experience. You are an amazing lady with great values & knowledge. We are hoping to come and join you for some more classes."
Pip Barton, Brisbane
"What a wonderful culinary experience I have just enjoyed at Life's a Feast cooking school! I have attended many cooking classes over the years, and this has been the most memorable to date. Gail's relaxed teaching style creates a fun and enjoyable atmosphere, and the dishes we prepared were sensational! The highlight was sitting down and enjoying the meal we had made together with a couple of glasses of wine in a beautiful setting."
Jan Hoffman, Brisbane
"Thank you for Last Friday evening's team-building cooking class. The team had a great time and enjoyed the experience. I have put my new found skills to use already by cooking dinner for my family on Sunday evening - a 9/10 rating by the family, so thanks to you."
Peter Nuttall, Brisbane
"I have attended 2 life's a feast cooking classes - Pasta Making and Barbequing - and enjoyed both immensely. In addition to acquiring some new kitchen skills, I had a lot of fun on both occasions and particularly enjoyed the beautiful environment the classes are held. I'll be back for my third class very soon!"
Jodie Thomas, Sunshine Beach
"Thank you for a fantastic time Gail, I had such a pleasurable afternoon…thanking you. The food was fantastic and to be able to sit and enjoy it at a leisurely pace was delightful. Your passion for food and cooking is infectious, and is reflected in the food. I look forward to joining another of your classes soon."
Jo Hercus, Buderim
"I loved everything about the cooking class I recently attended at life's a feast! I picked up some great cooking ideas and tips, the food was delicious, great company and what a gorgeous location. The highlight for me was sitting down to eat the meal I had helped create with my fellow students and enjoying a glass of wine. I will definitely be returning to do another class soon."
Katrina O'Connor, Maroochydore
"Jim and I had a wonderful day and learnt a lot about how to cook good food on the barbeque. You and Paul passed on some quick, applicable tips that we will both use. We liked the small class size and enjoyed the company of the other four people. We will not hesitate to recommend Lifes a Feast and we hope to attend another course in the future. Thanks for an enjoyable day."
Roma Toovey, Tewantin
"Thank you Gail for such a great class. I
loved everything about it .. learning new techniques, hands on preparation,
eating fabulous food, and meeting and getting to know some lovely
people! You’ve got a great formula there with your classes
and your quality kitchenware products that you have to on-sell.
Well done!!"
Lisa Hayes, Noosa Heads
"From the minute I arrived at this cooking
lesson, I knew it was going to be different to other classes I'd
been to before (and I have been to a few!) We were greeted with
freshly baked muffins and brewed coffee, and I immediately felt
welcome. The classes are kept small, so everyone is actively involved
with the food preparation and are able to get as much personal instruction
as they need. Gail's relaxed style of teaching combined with her
amazing food knowledge made the day a most enjoyable experience.
The highlight was sitting down with the other participants and eating
the meal we'd made together with a couple of glasses of wine. To
sum up: I learnt a lot, laughed a lot and ate a lot!”
Jenny Peters, Brisbane
“As an anniversary gift for my wife, I
arranged a private cooking class for the two of us with life's
a feast. We both have fairly strict dietary requirements, so
we wanted to gain some inspiration and learn some simple yet tasty
dishes that fall within our guidelines. Gail was able to come up
with an amazing menu, which we prepared with her guidance, and then
sat down and ate at the conclusion of the lesson. Gail's sense of
humour ensured we had fun while we learnt new cooking techniques.
I can definitely recommend life's a feast to anyone who
would like to expand their cooking repertoire."
Tony Wilson, Maroochydore
“Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure
of attending a life’s a feast cooking class. During
the class I helped prepare and eat a 3-course meal, learnt some
great cooking tips and met some really lovely people. I highly recommend
one of Gail’s classes to anyone - you will learn, laugh and
go home with a very full stomach as well as a load of recipes and
guidelines in your take-home Entertaining Kit. I am looking forward
to replicating the meal and impressing my friends. Thanks so much
Gail - I will be back for another class. It was fantastic!”
Barb Eneberg, Stanmore
“I recently attended a life’s
a feast cooking class run by Gail Rast. This class was different
and goes further than other cooking classes I have attended in the
past: yes it is about food, but it also teaches you how not to have
an anxiety attack when hosting a dinner party and to actually enjoy
yourself. Gail's preparation was outstanding right down to the excellent
folder of notes that she provides, which has useful information
as well as recipes. I do believe that many Australian households
will be doing a lot more good old fashioned entertaining at home
now, given the current financial climate, and I would urge anyone
to try this class.”
Geoff Heaton, Annandale
“You can't help but be drawn into the fray
when you hear someone talk about their lifelong passion. Gail, self-confessed
cook-a-holic and founder of life's a feast, bursts with
infectious enthusiasm as she walks you through the planning and
preparation of the finest mouth-watering meal I have had in a long
time. I left my cooking class totally confident in my ability to
effortlessly create a complete culinary experience.
I could not recommend this class more highly.”
John Mitchell, Alexandria
“I would like to thank you Gail for a most
enjoyable cooking class, which was relaxed and professional at the
same time. I left with an enthusiastic attitude and feel I now have
the confidence to cook something different, rather than the same
boring repertoire when I entertain. I replicated the meal with great
success and my guests were most impressed. It was just all so easy,
and your step-by-step instructions are fantastic. I can't wait to
be your student again!”
Leah McKenzie, Manly
“I recently attended a life’s
a feast cooking class and it was a most enjoyable experience.
Gail keeps her classes small, formalities to a minimum and uses
her own inspirational recipes. There are many opportunities to participate
in the preparation of a doable, delicious three course meal. The
finale of course is enjoying the mouth-watering food with your fellow
participants.”
Linda Forbes, Collaroy Plateau
“I really enjoyed the life’s a
feast Christmas cooking class I attended recently. The atmosphere
was relaxed and it was good to be able to participate as much or
as little as I liked. The recipes were delicious and very easy to
follow and prepare. The highlight of the day was sitting out on
the balcony overlooking the tree tops and enjoying the food we had
all had a hand in cooking. I am looking forward to preparing the
same menu at home for friends at Christmas time.”
