1. How does life’s a feast make entertaining easy?
life’s a feast helps you put together dinner parties and smaller home events so you can experience the joy of having guests. By applying our proven formula which simplifies the process, the confusion, stress and guesswork is removed, making home entertaining easy, enjoyable and affordable.

2. What are the benefits of using life’s a feast?
It is our experience that many people associate entertaining at home with stress, hard work and very little reward. Because life’s a feast removes the confusion, stress and guesswork, you are left free to enjoy yourself and the company of your guests.

3. How does it work?
Depending on which service you choose, we either come to your home and coordinate and support you with the food preparation and other elements of your occasion (our Premium Service); or if you choose our Personalised Home Entertaining Planning Service you will receive a foolproof kit which provides you with everything you need to host your occasion flawlessly.

4. What services does life’s a feast provide and how much do they cost?
life’s a feast specialises in dinner parties and smaller home events (up to 16 guests). Our two services are both designed to make entertaining easy and enjoyable:

a) Personalised Home Entertaining Planning Service
Designed to simplify the home entertaining process, you’ll receive everything you need to create and host your occasion seamlessly.

It works like this: you complete a questionnaire that allows us to understand your wishes and requirements, and we design a Personalised Entertaining Kit, including a customised menu, with easy-to-follow foolproof steps to allow you to host your occasion seamlessly.

Included in your Personalised Entertaining Kit you’ll receive:

- Your customised menu, including wine pairing suggestions.
- Recipes, tailored to your criteria, created for minimum effort and maximum wow-factor, and importantly the majority of the preparation can be done ahead of time.
- Your shopping list, with advice on ordering and sourcing ingredients.
- Your action plan, to ensure that you complete all necessary tasks before the day of your occasion.
- Your ‘on-the-day’ checklist to ensure all bases are covered and everything runs like clockwork.
- Foolproof instructions to serve your food effortlessly and stylishly.
- Fact sheets on various aspects of entertaining such as food safety and food and wine pairing.

We also provide support by phone or email if required. This service is available Australia-wide. The cost of this service is $150 for up to 12 people. For larger gatherings, prices are available upon application.

b) Home Entertaining Premium Service
If you would like hands-on assistance with your next dinner party or home gathering, our Premium Service is for you. It works like the Personalised Home Entertaining Planning Service, but the food preparation takes the form of a one-on-one interactive cooking lesson on the day of your event.

Prior to your dinner party or home event, we will get together to discuss and design your event, based on your criteria and wishes. This includes menu selection, a run-down on how the day will go, and other aspects relevant to your occasion.

On the day of your dinner party or event, life’s a feast will arrive at your home well in advance of your guests. The food will be prepared collaboratively, with an emphasis on fun and learning (your level of involvement is of course up to you). The end product is a delicious meal to serve your guests that you can honestly say you prepared yourself!

As part of the service, you will receive a Personalised Entertaining Kit, which includes:
- Your custom-designed menu, including wine pairing suggestions.
- Recipes, tailored to your criteria, created for minimum effort and maximum wow-factor, and importantly the majority of the preparation can be done ahead of time.
- Your shopping list, with advice on ordering and sourcing ingredients.
- Your action plan, to ensure that you complete all necessary tasks before the day of your occasion.
- Your ‘on-the-day’ checklist to ensure all bases are covered and everything runs like clockwork.
- Foolproof instructions to serve your food effortlessly and stylishly.
- Fact sheets on various aspects of entertaining such as food safety and food and wine pairing.

This service is available on Queeensland's Sunshine Coast only. Prices start from $450, and vary depending on the number of guests. At an additional cost, life’s a feast can do your grocery shopping for you.

5. What do I get to keep that’s included in the services?
With both services you will receive a Personalised Entertaining Kit (as detailed above), which provides you with everything you need to create and host your occasion seamlessly.

6. Why wouldn’t I just hire a caterer?
life’s a feast’s philosophy is based on our belief that the ultimate compliment you can pay anyone is to prepare them a meal from the heart. Our approach is not that of a caterer; rather, we work closely with you to ensure that you develop the necessary skills to confidently and enjoyably entertain in your own home. We want you to experience the joy of having guests and the satisfaction of serving a meal of your own creation, and we are committed to you being confident host and having fun in the process.

7. Do you take into account dietary restrictions in your recipes and menus?
Yes, we have recipe and menu choices for coeliacs (gluten free) and vegetarians, as well as low-fat options.

8. How do I know if my cooking skills are good enough to make the recipes?
Our recipes are coded by degree of difficulty. During initial discussions, we determine your level of cooking skills, and will ensure that your recipes are within your ability.

9. I’m already a good cook – why would I need your services?
Even competent cooks struggle with the logistics of coordinating a dinner party or home event. Factors such as creating a balanced menu, having everything ready at the right time, sourcing ingredients and wine pairing are all covered in our services. Your time is consequently freed up, leaving you free to enjoy yourself and the company of your guests.
